Support for the creation and development of Penumbra's musical score has been provided through the Harlem Stage Fund for New Work, which has received support from the Jerome Foundation.
Penumbra was also awarded SUNY’s Research and Creative Activity Grant, Bronx Council on the Arts BRIO (Bronx Recognizes Its Own) award, and its Off-Broadway debut as a play was produced by The Present Company for the NYC Fringe Festival.
